Meet the Governors

Graham Watson

I became a Parent Governor in 2018 - having moved to Birmingham to work at King Edward's School, Birmingham. I'm a parent of boys in year 5 and year 7, and, currently Safeguarding Link Governor and Chair of the Assessment & Attainment Committee.  I want Park Hill to offer the opportunity for all children to be the best they can be and support teachers in providing this day-in, day-out .

Affi Agbodo

I would like to become a governor to help the school maintain its excellent reputation for academic success and happy, friendly children.  My daughter Kayla, now in year 5, has enjoyed learning and growing at Park Hill Primary School from reception year.  For the past fifteen years, I have been working as a strategy consultant, designing university curricula and teaching strategy, risk and entrepreneurship.  I would like to use my skills and experience to give back in a volunteer role.  I am keen to learn and support.

Sahar Ashraf

I am a Doctor of Physical Therapy with experience in treating patients and teaching health science students at the university level.  In addition, I've expertise in designing, reviewing and launching educational programmes to instil and promote a learning mindset. I am a firm believer in contributing to the local community making a positive change to it.

I would be delighted to make a difference in the children's education and the Park Hill School as a whole through my academic qualifications, previous experiences and interest in the area of children's education.

It is very important for me to understand, review and influence the school policies to ensure it is heading in the right direction in line with its values and defined standards.  Also l,  see being a parent governor as an excellent opportunity to broaden my network in the local community, supporting the children and their parents.

I joined the Governing Body in late 2018 as a local authority governor. I am a former pupil of Park Hill and feel deeply honoured to be able to contribute to the School’s continuous success. Coming to the UK from Jamaica as a young child, I was enrolled in Park Hill School and have fond memories of the special time I spent there. Walking into the School today, there have clearly been lots of positive changes to the physical environment. However, the focus on each child’s development, wellbeing and success is still in evidence. As the Early Years Link Governor, I recognise that a child’s earliest experiences have a major impact on their future life chances. I am committed to playing my part in supporting Park Hill School to give every child a great start in life.

I joined the Governing Board at Park Hill in 2021 as a co-opted governor and also sit on the Staffing and Finance committee.  For the last six years, I have been working as a Management consultant for a Big4 company where we advise clients on transforming their organisation across a variety of pubic and private sector industries.  As a governor, I hope to apply this experience for the benefit of the school and its stakeholders. Most importantly, I aim to support the school in providing a safe and stimulating environment for every student, in their most important years of learning.

Tauqeer Adris

After my conversation with Mrs Khan and Mr Malcolm about the position, I think I would be suitable because of my skills, experience, leadership and determination to succeed.  I come from a sales and business development background and was a high ranked member of the Air Training Corps.  With my first child into school and two more to follow, I'm here to stay and grow.
