'We aim to bring out the best in everyone.’

Community - Equality - Respect - Compassion - Aspiration - Resilience

Working together to improve our children's attendance at Park Hill is more important than ever!

Regular attendance is critical for children's social and emotional development and well-being, as well as their academic success.  As a school community, we must work together to ensure our children attend consistently and that any barriers are addressed that means they might not be able to.  Collaboration between school and our families can help identify any issues and work on finding solutions together.

For more information, please read the Attendance Policy in the link below.

- QUICK ANSWERS FOR PARENTS - 'WHAT TO DOs' -

  •  If my child is ill - check website 'Is my child too ill for school?  https://www.nhs.uk/live-well/is-my-child-too-ill-for-school/ if you think your child is too ill for school, call school as soon as possible to inform us - do this every day your child is ill on 0121 449 3004 - if no one picks up, please leave a message.
  • Sickness and diarrhea - keep your child off school for 48 hours but inform the school.
  • I want to request term-time leave - term-time leave can only be granted in very exceptional circumstances - holidays will not be authorised - please go to the school office, ask for and complete a leave of request form - staff will help with this.
  • I need to collect my child for a medical appointment - please try to arrange any appointments outside of school time but if this is not possible, please bring your child into school and collect them again when it is time to travel for their appointment - after their appointment, bring them back to school if possible - there is no need for children to miss a full day of school for a short appointment.
  • I'm going to be late because something has happened - please inform school as early as it is safe to, so we know that you and your child are safe - if pupils are late (after 9.20) they will recieve a 'U' absence mark; however, we understand that sometimes there are reasons  beyond parents' control for being late.
